The Moment I’ve Been Waiting For!
Guess what, folks?! We’re only THREE FULL MONTHS from May!!
You know what that means–Last Chance Wife will hit the shelves. I cannot express how much of a dream-come-true this has been for me. I’ve wanted to write published fiction since I was eight years old, when my second grade teacher gave us an assignment to write a story. And you know, we’ve kept in touch all these years, and I’m so thankful for her and her dedication and friendship…which is why I dedicated my first book to her!
If you joined my online community before Friday, you should have received an email containing the Sneak Peek COVER REVEAL of Last Chance Wife. If you signed up and missed that email, double check your junk mail folder, just in case. If you still want to sign up, you can do so in the right hand column here on my website. (Or go to the home page and scroll down if you’re on your phone, as there are no side columns.)
Okay, have you waiting long enough?
Without further ado, I’ll show you the cover to my VERY FIRST BOOK BABY to be published.
Isn’t it beautiful?
I’ll let you in on a small secret. Even though this is my first book to be published, it’s actually the fifth book I’ve written to completion. Each of those books were written (and rewritten) with love, edited with care, and dreamed and prayed over. Each has been shopped by my agent to publishers and each has received a short but polite pass on publication.
Sometimes it takes a while for a dream to come true. That’s okay! And even if it hadn’t come true–even if I’d never been published–the Lord provides. Because sometimes the dreams we have for ourselves aren’t the plans he has for us…but his plans are always good and perfect and better than we can imagine.
I loved writing this book. Editing it with my Love Inspired editor was just as joyous. Seriously! And seeing the cover?? Surreal. My name is on a cover! And characters that I imagined in my mind are now materialized. That’s pretty crazy, folks.
I’ll share more about the behind the scenes in future blog posts as we barrel toward May!
I’m so thrilled to share Ewan and Winifred’s love story with you. Check out the blurb below to find out more about the story.
Watch for future information about a launch team,
sneak peeks, character information,
and little-known facts about me!
I might even throw in a deleted scene at some point……
If you want to PRE-ORDER your copy of Last Chance Wife, you can do so at Amazon, for either Kindle or a physical copy. It won’t ship until May, but it’ll be purchased and you won’t have to worry about it.
When six-time mail-order bride Winifred Sattler is stranded in Deadwood, Dakota Territory, she’s grateful to find a temporary position at Mr. Ewan Burke’s business until she can return home. Ewan is handsome, but stuffy and serious—her complete opposite. Unlike her new anonymous correspondent, Mr. Businessman, who appreciates her bubbly optimism.
To keep his mining company afloat, Ewan can’t be distracted by Winifred’s vivacious beauty. He needs a no-nonsense wife. Someone like Miss Thoroughly Disgruntled, the only respondent to his recent ad with whom he truly connected. In person, Winifred and Ewan don’t get along, but in their letters they’re falling in love. Will they discover a perfect match in each other?
